Position Title:  Program Coordinator – Women’s Resource Center

Position Start Date: January 1, 2004 or when filled.

Job Hours: Half-time; twenty (20) hours per week

Job Wages:  Commensurate with experience

Job Description:       The Center’s Women’s Resource Center was established to provide resources, activities and events to the women’s community of San Diego County.  The Program Coordinator of the Women’s Resource Center, in conjunction with her/his supervisor, is responsible for the design and implementation of a needs assessment to guide development of women’s programming at The Center. Other duties include, but are not limited to, creating and maintaining a resource database, managing volunteers, coordinating events and activities and administrative support for the Toni Atkins Lesbian Health Fund.

  1. Education and Experience: Experience with program development and administration a must.
  2. Computer/Office Equipment Skills: Must have demonstrated skill with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  3. Other Special Skills:  Capable of handling multiple projects at the same time. Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills are a must. Must have experience in database design and maintenance and some experience coordinating events and activities.
  4. Language Skills: Fluent in oral and written English, with ability to proofread own work required. Fluency in oral and written Spanish preferred.
