4-H CAMP AT POTOSI PINES REGISTRATION

LAS VEGAS—Potosi Pines will again be the site for the 2003 University of Nevada Cooperative Extension 4-H summer camp from August 17-20.  Campers between the ages of 8-12 must register by July 28, 2003.

This year’s theme will be “4-H Rocks” with a special emphasis on “rocks”.  During the four day camp, the campers will accomplish activities centering on healthy lifestyles (health rocks), geology and petrology (real rocks) and music (rock, of course). The teen leaders group is already hard at work mapping out this year’s activities, including the traditional camp dance at the “Hard Rock Café”.

Cost of the camp is $150 and includes all meals and activities. Camp scholarships are available based on need. If you would like your child to become a 4-H member and camp, please contact Lee Ann Kendrick at (702) 257-5598 or e-mail kendrickl@unce.unr.edu.
